From 18 November, the UCF, in partnership with the British Council, has opened applications for the inclusive LOTs of the grant programme "Society’s Resilience through Culture". The application deadline is 19 January 2026.

The initiative is implemented under the One Hundred Year Partnership Agreement between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Ukraine.
Goals of Society’s Resilience through Culture Programme:
- to foster an inclusive cultural and artistic environment where creativity is open to all;
- to ensure access to culture for people with limited mobility and people with disabilities, including those injured or bereaved as a result of the war, by adapting artworks, films, theatre productions and cultural events into accessible formats;
- to promote the introduction of inclusive and trauma-informed practices that support mental recovery and strengthen society’s inner resilience;
- to help create a barrier-free living environment in the cultural, educational and social spheres for people with limited mobility, older adults, families with young children, people with disabilities and all those who need support;
- to cultivate a culture of respect and acceptance, and to overcome stereotypes and prejudice by supporting artistic initiatives that highlight inclusion and humanity;
- to support the preservation, development and representation of the cultural heritage of Ukraine’s indigenous peoples;
- to stimulate the development of cross-sector partnerships and support competitive projects that are potentially attractive for non-state investment and capable of sustainable development.
The programme consists of three LOTs:
- LOT 1 "Support for Artists with Disabilities" (co-funded by UCF and the British Council; see more for priorities and guidelines);
- LOT 2 "Barrier-Free Society" (co-funded by UCF and the British Council; see more for priorities and guidelines);
- LOT 3 "Culture of the Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine" (the call will be announced later).
Who can apply:
- LOT 1 "Support for Artists with Disabilities": The applicant may be a legal entity of any form of ownership or an individual entrepreneur, each registered in the territory of Ukraine in accordance with Ukrainian law for at least 3 monthsas of the competition announcement date, excluding the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
- LOT 2 "Barrier-Free Society": The applicant may be a legal entity of any form of ownership or an individual entrepreneur, each registered in the territory of Ukraine in accordance with Ukrainian law for at least 1 year as of the competition announcement date, excluding the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Funding scope:
- LOT 1 "Support for Artists with Disabilities": minimum grant amount (cannot be reduced) – UAH 300,000; maximum grant amount (cannot be increased) – UAH 800,000.
- LOT 2 "Barrier-Free Society": minimum grant amount (cannot be reduced) – UAH 500,000; maximum grant amount (cannot be increased) – UAH 1,000,000.
What projects are in scope:
- LOT 1 "Support for Artists with Disabilities": inclusive publications; exhibition/exposition; video content; radio content; TV programme; collection/show (fashion); creation of an art piece featuring contributions from artists with disabilities.
- LOT 2 "Barrier-Free Society": internships and employment for people with disabilities in museums, theatres and art centres; interactive exhibitions and art installations (e.g. tactile exhibits for blind visitors; audio description for people with visual impairments); inclusive theatre productions (performances with actors with disabilities; use of sign-language interpretation and subtitling; adapted stage spaces for people with limited mobility); audiovisual projects (documentary and feature films about the experience of artists with disabilities; inclusive screenings with audio description and subtitles); digital cultural products (inclusive mobile apps for accessing arts content; online galleries and virtual tours of cultural institutions adapted to different audience needs).
