On March 22th the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation closed applications for one of the six competition programmes “Ukrainian Cultural Monitor” aimed at researching the conditions of the cultural, creative and audiovisual sectors of Ukraine, as well as promoting the implementation of state policy in the fields of culture and arts, stimulating the development of modern areas of cultural and artistic activity, and developing innovative projects.
74 applications were received in total.
By the number of applications submitted, the Kyiv region is leading with 43 projects. Also, among the leader-regions are: Lviv (8), Kharkiv (6), Rivne (3). The same number of applications came from Vinnitsia, Odesa and Kherson regions – 2. Cultural heritage is on the first place among the sectors, followed by the cultural and creative industries, audiovisual art and literature and publishing.
By LOTs applications were submitted as follows:
LOT “Applied Scientific Research: Cross-sectoral, Sectoral and Specific Issues” – 49 application
LOT “Development and Implementation of Cultural Monitor Programmes and Methodology” – 25 applications
The technical selection of applications has begun. Applications that meet the technical criteria of competition will be submitted to the experts for evaluation.
We remind that this year, each project will be reviewed by experts from the according sector of the Expert Council, as well as the Financial and Communications Councils. The highest possible sum score of the evaluation is 300. Projects that will score more than 210 points will qualify for funding from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. The next steps will be negotiation procedures, decision on financing and signing of a Grant Agreement.
