LOT 2. Culture and veterans

LOT “Culture and Veterans” support priorities: 

  • support for cultural and artistic projects that promote the social reintegration of veterans, namely combatants who have participated in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, repulsion of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and members of their families;
  • rehabilitation of veterans, namely combatants who took part in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, repulsion of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, by means of culture and art;
  • creation of new and dissemination of existing commemorative practices about participants and events of repulsion of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, formation of collective memory.

The direct target audience of the projects should be veterans, namely participants in hostilities who took part in measures to ensure national security and defense, repulsion of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and members of their families. Participatory methods of working with a direct audience are welcome.

LOT budget: UAH 10 million

Minimum grant amount (cannot be reduced): UAH 100 thousand

Maximum grant amount (cannot be increased): UAH 700 thousand

The Ministry of Veterans 'Affairs of Ukraine is the main body in the system of central executive bodies that ensures the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of social protection of war veterans, persons with special merits before the Motherland, victims of the Revolution of Dignity, veterans' families.


The LOT applicant may be a legal entity of all forms of ownership or a private entrepreneur registered in the territory of Ukraine in accordance with the current legislation not less than one year on the date of announcement of the competition (20.11.2020) and has relevant experience with direct the target audience - veterans, namely participants in hostilities who participated in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and members of their families.

Submission of a project application for the competition: 20.11.2020 - 15.01.2021 (competition of ideas) and 15.02.2021 - 12.03.2021 (submission of application packages)

Competitive selection: 01.03.2021 - 03.05.2021

Implementation of projects, including reporting: from the date of signing the Grant Agreement with the UCF, but not earlier than 30.03.2022, to 30.09.2022
