Support Ukrainian Culture and UCF

On February 24th, russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine and the whole of Europe. The russian occupants continue to ruthlessly destroy Ukraine's cultural heritage, publicly declaring that Ukrainian culture does not exist and did not exist. They continue to shell Ukrainian museums and destroy Ukrainian theaters.

More and more Ukrainian artists (actors, singers, artists, writers and other representatives of the cultural community) are taking up arms and defend our country.

Losses of Ukrainian culture include not only tangible cultural heritage - museums, archives, monuments, architecture, theaters and intangible - traditions, folklore, songs, but also people - bearers of these traditions, professional artists, cultural managers and other professionals in the sector who form the identity of Ukrainian culture.

Today, the war in Ukraine requires a new relevance of the mission of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and joint efforts to preserve the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian nation.

Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is a state institution whose goal is to promote the development of culture and arts of Ukraine, provide favorable conditions for the development of intellectual and spiritual potential of the individual and society, wide access to national cultural heritage, support cultural diversity and integration of Ukrainian culture into the world cultural space.

We call on our public, private and philanthropic partners to join us in supporting those who fight for democratic values. UCF offers to:

• support cultural workers who have remained in Ukraine and are in need of basic means of living and security (form of scholarships);
• support of cultural and artistic projects aimed at promoting Ukrainian culture abroad, implementation of projects in Ukraine (from of grant);
• support for Ukrainian media;
• support for the activities of the UCF, which will be aimed at covering administrative costs of the Foundation.

Ukraine is currently directing all available resources to support our troops to win the war. To this end, by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 10th, the funds of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation in the amount of 18.2 million euros, which were to finance grants for cultural projects in 2022, will be directed to the Ukrainian Army to counter aggression by the russian federation.

The only way to overcome fear and isolation is to unite people. Culture has the power to do this. Join the preservation of cultural heritage, culture, art and the Ukrainian nation!
