The UCF’s Grant Season 2025 features five programs: Culture During the War, Resilience of Society Through Culture, Cultural Heritage, Culture. Regions, and Scholarship. Each program has been adapted to address the challenges posed by wartime conditions and respond to the needs of Ukrainian society.
"During the war, culture has become our weapon – it helps us persevere when all hope seems lost. The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation strengthens this weapon, ensuring Ukraine’s victory on the cultural battlefield. The UCF is also about support. It is a space where artists and cultural practitioners find solidarity, reminding them that even in the hardest times, they are not alone, they are deeply needed. We will not allow this strength to falter, and our grant programs demonstrate this commitment. They give voice to lived pain, prioritize inclusiveness, and inspire new achievements", – said Anastasiia Obraztsova, the Executive Director of the UCF.
The grant season will kick off with the Scholarship program, co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of Luxembourg. Anastasiia Obraztsova emphasized that continuous fundraising, particularly in the context of limited state budgetary resources, helps reduce dependence on state financing and expands the Foundation's financial capacity to support vital cultural initiatives.
"Extrabudgetary funding is of great importance for our cultural sphere. It’s not just about additional resources, but primarily about the freedom to create without limits. The Foundation is focused on creating sustainable and efficient partnerships, especially over the last three years when state spending on culture has drastically decreased. These partnerships foster the stable development of cultural initiatives, the growth of creative industries, and the strengthening of international collaborations, ultimately leading to the global recognition of Ukrainian culture. I extend my gratitude to all our partners who have responded to our call to become partners. Each investment is a contribution to the independence and resilience of the Ukrainian cultural space", – added Anastasiia Obraztsova.
The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF) is a state investor in the development of culture and creative industries in Ukraine. Established in 2017 under the Law of Ukraine "On the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation," the organization supports individual, national, and international projects on a competitive basis across seven sectors: auditory arts, visual arts, audiovisual arts, cultural heritage, literature, performing and scenic arts, and cultural and creative industries. Over its seven years of activity, the Foundation has supported 2,717 projects. The total amount of invested funds exceeds 1.6 billion UAH, with a target audience reaching 53 million people.
