The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, while respecting the principles of openness and transparency, invites everyone to read a report on our activities in the first half of 2019 (January - June).

In the first quarter of 2019, the UCF finalized the mid-term Strategy 2019 - 2021, started six new programs simultaneously, set about expanding and strengthening the Foundation’s team. See the UCF report for the first quarter 2019 .

In the second quarter, the Foundation’s work was focused on summarizing the results of the competitive selection of six programs and conducting negotiation procedures and signing agreements with the winners. Also, during the reporting period new competitive programs were conceptualized, Foundation’s institutional programs were launched, Project Manager's School was developed and tested, as well as active work with the cultural, creative and audiovisual sectors of Ukraine was held.

In 2019 the number of programs increased and as a result work load on the Foundation team. Consequently, the Informing Procedure on the results of passing of all selection stages (Procedure for the competitive selection of projects and Instructions for applicants of all UCF competitive programs) is as follows:

1. At the date of submission deadline for each of the programs, the UCF publishes a registry of projects that have been submitted to calls:

2. After that, all applications are forwarded for technical selection. The applicants are informed on the results of the technical selection via email. The messages with the “rejection” contain a detailed list of reasons why the technical selection was rejected.

3. Application packages that have passed technical selection are directed to the Foundation's expert councils. According to the expert evaluations, the applicants who scored more than 210 (but not less than 70 points for each part: content, financial and communicative) are invited to negotiate and sign the Grant Agreements. According to the Law on the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the projects whose budget exceeds 150 minimum wages are subjected for a review and approval by the Foundation’s Supervisory Board.

4. The applicants are informed about the expert selection via e-mail that includes the points received.

When all the selections stages were passed and winners sighned Grant Agreements, UCF published registries with the results of all selection stages (technical, expert and negotiation phase) of six competitive programs.
