In order to promote development of cultural diversity and integration of Ukrainian culture into global space, present contemporary Ukrainian culture and scientific innovations, facilitate implementation of the national policy on culture and arts, promote Ukraine’s cultural diplomacy and competitive Ukrainian cultural products in the global market, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Ukrainian Institute signed a cooperation agreement.

The two institutions hope that their consolidated activity will help coordinate joint actions aimed to support Ukrainian projects implemented abroad, interact to raise professional level of representatives of Ukraine’s cultural sector, coordinate efforts taken to improve the national and international expert communities, monitor and examine draft regulatory acts initiated by public authorities, etc.

Yuliia Fediv, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation: “From its very inception, UCF has been striving to create a single ecosystem of culture and creativity in the country. For that purpose, we organized strategic sessions and coordination meetings with representatives of cultural institutions. The signing of a cooperation agreement with the Ukrainian Institute became a logical step which indicated our mutual readiness to continue to move toward consolidation of activity in order to popularize Ukrainian culture, both inside the country and abroad.”

Volodymyr Sheiko, General Director of the Ukrainian Institute: “The cooperation between the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Ukrainian Institute is an obvious and natural partnership which continued since both institutions came into being. Therefore, this memorandum documented what has already been occurring in practice. The synergy between us helps address common challenges in a more efficient way, plan our activities, and jointly implement larger and more systemic projects for development and international representation of Ukrainian culture.”
