UCF announces competition for experts’ selection

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation announces a competition for the experts’ selection to the expert councils in the following areas:

1. Visual Art;
2. Audial art;
3. Audiovisual art;
4. Design and fashion;
5. Performative art;
6. Cultural heritage;
7. Literature and publishing;
8. Cultural and creative industries;
9. Expert Council on Financial Issues (new board);
10. Expert Council on Communication Strategies of the project (new board).

Each candidate can apply only to one expert council.

Stages of the competition

The competition for the selection of experts to the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation’s expert councils will be held from 10.12.2018 in four stages:

• Stage I - Submission of documents for the competition;
• Stage II - Completion of practical task on project evaluation by candidates who have been selected in accordance with the established requirements;
• Stage ІІІ - Selection of experts according to the results of the practical task;
• Stage IV - Online draw procedure.

Experts who submitted their applications no later than 10 days prior to the announcement of the projects’ competition and passed a competitive selection will be allowed for online drawings to evaluate projects within the nearest project contests.

The Expert Contest is ongoing until it is suspended by the decision of the Foundation’s Directorate, which will be published on the UCF's official website.

The documents for the selection of experts’ competition  will be accepted and considered from the date of announcement of the competition of experts until the moment of suspension of the competition. Selected candidates will be included into the relevant expert council and may be involved in the project evaluation process within the framework of the nearest announced Project Contests.

Main requirements for candidates

For expert councils number № 1-8:

• higher education of the second (and higher) level;
• experience in the relevant sector of culture and arts for at least five years;
• project management experience;
• the citizenship of Ukraine.

For Expert Council № 9:

• higher education of the second (and higher) level;
• experience in financial management, compilation and analysis of budgets for at least five years;
• experience in managing projects in the field of culture and arts;
• the citizenship of Ukraine.

For expert council № 10:

• higher education of the second (and higher) level;
• experience in the field of PR, communications for at least five years;
• experience in managing projects in the field of culture and arts;
• the citizenship of Ukraine.

How to become an UFC expert

1. Fill out the application online

2. Send the following documents to the [email protected] mailbox:

• signed Declaration of Integrity (Annex 1), in pdf format, entitled "Declaration".
• signed Consent of the candidate for processing personal data (Annex 2), in pdf format, titled "Consent".
• a copy of the identity document, in pdf format, titled "Passport".
• a copy of the personal tax number, in pdf format, under the name "Code".
• copies of documents confirming higher education, in pdf format, in one file, titled "Diploma".
• a professional resume that contains the information specified in the section "Requirements for candidates", in pdf format, no more than two pages, under the title "Summary".
• a motivational letter that contains the information specified in the section "Requirements for candidates", in pdf format, no more than one page, entitled "Motivation".
• other documents and materials that you think may benefit you in selection, in pdf format, in one file, called "Other Documents".

The documents are submitted in Ukrainian or in the original language with a translation into Ukrainian.

These documents must be collected together in the archive (zip, rar).

The size of the archive should not exceed 50 MB.

The subject of the letter states: "Expert Contest_SURNAME_ NUMBER OF THE EXPERT COUNCIL".

The candidates for the expert councils are responsible for the authenticity of the submitted documents .

Payment for services

The Law of Ukraine "On the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation" provides for the payment of remuneration to experts of expert councils, the size of which is determined by the Methodology for determining the amount of payments to experts of expert councils of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 31.10.2018 №949.
