On November 1, 2021 at 02:00 p.m. UKRINFORM news agency will hold a press conference to mark the launch of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation’s grant season of 2022.

Having analysed the number of applications submitted for programs in previous years, the number of projects implemented and the overall demand for existing programs, the UCF introduced a number of changes prior to the new grant season. Details and further plans for the development of the institution until 2030 will be told at the press conference by:

  • Oleksandr TKACHENKO, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine;
  • Vladyslav KORNIIENKO, Director General of the State Enterprise “National Circus of Ukraine”, member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation;
  • Vladyslav BERKOVSKII, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

Create demand for a Ukrainian cultural product together!

Background

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is a state institution incorporated in 2017 with the aim to promote national culture and art in the state, to provide favourable conditions for the development of intellectual and spiritual potential of individuals and society, broad access of citizens to the national cultural heritage, support cultural diversity and integration of Ukrainian culture into the world cultural space. The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation supports projects through a competitive selection process.

In 2021, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation received 3,734 project applications for competition, of which 2,972 were submitted for expert assessment. The demand for grants amounts to over UAH 5.4 billion.

According to the results of grant season 2021, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation has supported 546 projects, signed 510 agreements for funding and 36 agreements for scholarships for a total of UAH 499.3 million and UAH 3.9 million respectively.
