Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation" has come into force

On July 16, 2020, the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning State Support in the Sphere of Culture, Creative Industries, Tourism, Small and Medium Business" came into force due to restrictive measures related to the spread of coronavirus COVID- 19 ", which introduced the following amendments to the "On the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation "Law of Ukraine:

• The concept of "institutional support grant" was introduced,
• The Foundation's priority tasks include "providing institutional support to legal entities of all forms of ownership in the field of culture, cultural and cognitive (domestic) tourism and those whose main activity is related to economic activities that belong to the creative industries, in order to ensure their stable activities and the development, under conditions of restrictive measures, imposed during the emergency or quarantine, as a result of which mass events are canceled or restricted or otherwise directly or indirectly restricted in the creative industries. "

Also, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №592 of July 8, 2020 adopted the “Procedure for the use of funds allocated for certain measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread, localization and elimination of outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2”, which defines the procedure for allocating public funds to support the sphere of culture, tourism and creative industries, in particular institutional support grants.

In order to implement the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation", the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation has developed and planned to implement a new program "Culture in times of crisis: institutional support" in 202, for which the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, considering the legislative changes mentioned above, has approved the following changes to the regulatory documents of the Foundation:

• The procedure for monitoring the fulfillment of obligations by the entities receiving funding to the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and its presentation with amendments (HP №147).
• The procedure for a competitive selection of projects and  its presentation with amendments (HP № 148).
• Regulations on expert councils of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and its presentation with amendments (HP №149).
• The procedure for reporting the conflict of interests that arose during the competitive selection and financing of projects of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and its presentation with amendments (HP №150).
• Methodology on the expert evaluation and its presentation with amendments (UCF Order № 81).
• Regulations on the experts recruitment  commission and its presentation with amendments (UCF order № 82).
• Requirements for auditors and its presentation with amendments (UCF Order № 80).
