On November 3, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the second reading the draft law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2023.
After the changes, the amount of funding for the support of cultural projects in 2023 was increased from 0 to 150 million hryvnias.
"I am grateful to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Humanitarian and Information Policy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada for their support. The voices of artists and the community were heard. At the same time, I would like to note that the foundation's team is making efforts to increase the total amount of investment in Ukrainian culture. The first news should be in January. We are working side by side so that the grant season will take place in 2023, despite the full-scale war and russia's energy terrorism", - said Vladyslav Berkovski, Executive Director of the UCF.
